Tool >> Boolean >> Shell and Defined Feature >> Extrude
Tool >> Boolean with Feature >> Extrude commands execute Boolean operation between polygonal shell and Feature.
RapidForm provides Union Boolean operations for polygon model and Feature made by using planar curve and changed into polygon by tessellation process.
Step
- Execute Tool >> Boolean with Feature >> Extrude command as follows:
- 1. Select Tool >> Boolean with Feature >> Extrude from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Tool toolbar.
- 2. Select polygon shells and planar curves to apply the Boolean operation to in order. ( See Shell selection )

Feature making process is same with Extrude but result will be converted into polygonal shell through tessellation process.
Resulted polygon and selected polygon can be Boolean operated through Boolean Option. Below are description of operation.
Union turns two entity into a single polygonal one.
Intersect removes all areas except the common one between two entity.
Difference takes a first selected polygonal shell and subtracts the common area of second selected polygon from feature shares with it from it.
Note
Feature tessellation process uses average polygonal edge length of selected shell for parameter. so, quality of polygon mesh is very important for this command
This
command is texture preserve command. So if user don't have Color
workbench license, RapidForm shows a below message.
If user select OK, texture will be removed after execution, If Cancel,
execution will be canceled.
If user does this process on polygon shell with feature region , Below warning message will appear.
