Tool >> Boolean Operation >> Union / Intersection / Difference commands execute Boolean operation between two shells.
RapidFormTM provides Union, Intersection, and Difference Boolean operations for polygon models.
Union turns two shells into a single one.
Intersect removes all areas except the common one between two shells.
Difference takes a first selected shell and subtracts the common area a second selected shell shares with it from it.
Step
- Execute Tool >> Boolean Operation >> Union / Intersection / Difference command as follows:
- 1. Select Tool >> Boolean Operation >> Union / Intersection / Difference from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Tool toolbar.
- 2. Select two shells to apply the Boolean operation to in order. ( See Shell selection )
Note
After the Boolean operation is executed, two selected shells are removed from the project tree window and a new shell is created as a result.
This
command is texture preserve command. So if user don't have Color
workbench license, Rapidform shows a below message.
If user select OK, texture will be removed after execution, If Cancel,
execution will be canceled.
If user does this process on polygon shell with feature region , Below warning message will appear.
