• Tool >> Smooth >> Paint command smoothes the selected region in real time to reduce the surface roughness.

 

  Step   

Execute Tool >> Smooth >> Paint command as follows:

1. Select Tool >> Smooth >> Paint from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the polygon Tool1 toolbar.

2. Select faces to be smooth. ( See Select Faces )

3. Use the selection mode to change the selection method and the selection option to change the brush size when the selection mode is Paint Brush.

4. Drag the mouse with left mouse button pressed where you want to make smooth. To change the smooth options, click right mouse button to pop up this menu:

5. Select Options in the popup menu. Then the following dialog box shows up.

The options in this dialog box are very similar to the Smooth Shell options. For more information on them, refer to the Polygon >> Tool >> Smooth >> Shell

6. Push ESC key or icon to stop this command.

• As soon as mouse-dragging finishes, the selected faces are smoothed.

• A user can change the selection mode( See Select >> Mode >> Line / Rectangle / Circle / Freehand / Paint Brush ) at any time without quitting the current command.

• The brush size can be resized by dragging left mouse button to left/right while holding down Shift key.
