Measure >> Radius >> Sphere

• Measure >> Radius >> Sphere command measures the radius and the center of the sphere passing through four specified points.

Step   

Execute Measure >> Radius >> Sphere command as follows:

1. Select Measure >> Radius >> Sphere from the menu or click the icon from the Measure toolbar.

2. Select four points in any order. ( See Selecting point )

During picking points,  User can select point entity on RMB menu as below fig.

 

Point : Any point on polygon face

Vertex : Scanned Point

Ref.Point : User made Ref.Point 

Point On Surface : any point on NURBS surface

Point On Curve : any point on NURBS Curve

3. The result appears on the lower left side of the workspace window as follows.

Center is the coordinate of the center point of sphere passing through the four selected points.

Radius is the radius of the sphere.

• Point on Surface option cannot be applied to surfaces without mesh or if rendering never been executed once. Because picking point algorithm uses rendering information. So Point on Surface option can be applied to TRUE COLOR display mode with rendering information only.
