Measure >> Model Deviation
Step
- Execute Measure >> Model Deviation command as follows:
- 1. Select Measure >> Model Deviation from the menu or click the icon from the Measure toolbar.
- 2. Select shells. ( See Shell selection )
- 3. A color map is displayed on shells and the following dialog box appears on the screen.

- Input a desired number in Calc. Tolerance field to change the Acceoptable Tolerance and Maximum Range.
- Apply button will redraw color map with given option. If deviation result is larger than given option, RapidForm will recalculate deviation in regardless of option value.
- Otherwise, deviation filtered with option will be shown. When Apply button is clicked with Always Recalculate option, RapidForm always recalculate deviation result.
- Input a desired number in Acceptable Tolerance field to display only deviation over the number with absolute value. The default value, zero(0) makes all deviation within the range display.
- Input a smaller number than the current one in Maximum Range field to change the maximum deviation to be displayed.
Result
The system displays the distance deviation between selected shells with a color map as shown in the following figure.
Resulted color map will show only absolute value.
though there may be several distance value because of multi shell calculation. RapidForm will calculate distance within given tolerlance.

If you move the mouse over the color map, deviation value is shown in real-time.
User can change color bat into horizontal or vertical with Vertical, Horizontal option. Default option for Color bar is Vertical.
Using Attach Current Color Map to Vertex color on RMB menu, User can convert color map into vertex color.
You can customize the color bar by View >> Customize Color Bar or pop-up menu by right click on digits in color bar.
Note
This command is very useful for checking registration result after fine registration.
In case the bounding boxes of shells are not duplicated, the deviation value may be non-sense.
