• Measure >> Angle >> 3 Points command measures the angle formed by three specified points.

Step   

Execute Measure >> Angle >> 3 Points command as follows:

1. Select Measure >> Angle >> 3 Points from the menu or click the icon from the Measure toolbar.

2. Select three points one by one. Because the second selected point is the center of the angle, the selection order is important. ( See Selecting point )

During picking points,  User can select point entity on RMB menu as below fig.

 

Point : Any point on polygon face

Vertex : Scanned Point

Ref.Point : User made Ref.Point 

Point On Surface : any point on NURBS surface

Point On Curve : any point on NURBS Curve

3. The result appears on the lower left side of the workspace window as follows.

Point 1, Point 2, Point 3 are coordinates of three selected points respectively.

Angle is the angle between vector P1 - P2 and P3 - P2.

• Point on Surface option cannot be applied to surfaces without mesh or if rendering never been executed once. Because picking point algorithm uses rendering information. So Point on Surface option can be applied to TRUE COLOR display mode with rendering information only.
