• Inspection >> Annotation >> Import command imports annotation information stored in a text file.
• You can edit the text file before import it.

Step

         Execute Inspection >> Annotation >> Import command as follows:

1. Select Inspection >> Annotation >> Import from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Inspection toolbar.

2. An Import Annotation dialog box is opened for a user to select a text file to use the annotation information stored in it.

• A user can choose mm, cm, m, in or ft as Unit. ReferenceDeviationType can be WholeDeviation or SectionDeviation. ReferenceDeviationName means the name of the deviation used as the annotation reference. MeasurePositionType tells whether the annotation is made about a point on the scan or design data. ScanDataPosition tells the position of the annotated point on the scan shell. DesignDataPosition tells the position of the point on the design model. Displacement tells the displacement between them and Distance the distance. AnnotationPosition tells the position of the annotation text box.

• If the text file imported is of the above format, the annotations will be displayed on the screen. If the deviations are to be recalculated, rapidform finds the vertex which is closest to the ScanDataPosition and recalculates DesignDataPosition, Displacement, Distance and so forth.
