Information >> Shell
Step
- Execute Information >> Shell command as follows:
- 1. Select Information >> Shell from the menu or click the icon from the Information toolbar.
- 2. Select the desired shell. ( See Shell selection )
- 3. The information about the selected shell appears on the lower left side of the workspace window.

- No. of Vertices is the number of vertices within the selected shell.
- No. of Faces is the number of faces within the selected shell.
- Width of B.Box, Height of B.Box, Depth of B.Box, respectively, are the width( X axis direction ), the height( Y axis direction ), the depth( Z axis direction ) of the bounding box which encloses the selected shell.
- Center of Shell is the coordinate of the center point of the bounding box.
- Center of Mass is the coordinate of the centroid( center of gravity ) of the selected shell. It is represented as an red sphere. Even though the selected shell is not volume, it can be calculated.
- Area of Shell is the area of the selected shell, that is, the sum of every face's area.
- Volume of Shell is the volume of the selected shell. Even though the selected shell is not volume, it can be calculated with notification of Open Shell.
- 4. A user can inquire information on different shells by keeping selecting other shells.
- 5. If the user clicks the right mouse button during executing this command, the following pop-up menu appears.
