Information >> Model
- Information >>
Model
command shows topological and geometrical information of the entire model.
Step
- Execute Information >>
Model command as follows:
- 1. Select Information >>
Model from the menu or click the icon from the Information toolbar.
- 2. The information
about the model appears on the lower left side of the workspace
window.

- No. of Shells is the number of shells within the
model.
- No.
of Vertices is the total number of vertices within the model.
- No. of Faces
is the total number of faces
within the model.
- Width of B.Box,
Height of B.Box,
Depth of B.Box, respectively, are the width( X axis direction
), the height( Y axis direction ), the depth( Z axis direction )
of the bounding
box which encloses all the shells.
- Center of
Model is the coordinate of
the average of the whole center of shell.
- Center
of Mass is the coordinate of
the average of the whole centroid( center of gravity ) of shell and
represented as an red sphere. Even there is no volume
shell, it can be
calculated.
- Area
of Model is the area of the entire model, that is, the
sum of every shell's area.
- Volume of Model is the volume of
the entire model, that is, the sum of every shell's volume.
Even there is no volume shell, it can be
calculated with notification of Open Shell.
- 3. If a user
clicks
the right mouse button while executing this command, the following pop-up menu
should appear.
- Add
Center of B. Box as Ref. Point command creates a reference point
at the center position of the bounding box of all the shells.
- Add
Center of Mass as Ref. Point command creates a reference point
at the center position of the mass of all the shells.
