Information >> Face

• Information >> Face command shows topological and geometrical information of a face..

Step   

Execute Information >> Face command as follows:

1. Select Information >> Face from the menu or click the icon from the Information toolbar.

2. Select the desired face by clicking the left mouse button on it.

3. The information about  the selected face appears on the lower left side of the workspace window.

Position 1, Position 2, Position 3 are coordinates of three vertices which comprise the selected face.

Normal is the normal vector of the selected face. It is represented as an arrow.

Length of Edge 1 is the distance between Position 1 and Position 2.

Length of Edge 2 is the distance between Position 2 and Position 3.

Length of Edge 3 is the distance between Position 3 and Position 1.

Area is the area of the selected face.

No. of Adjacent Faces is the number of adjacent faces which share a edge with the selected face.

4. A user can inquire information on different faces by keeping selecting other faces.

5. If a user clicks the right mouse button during executing this command, the following pop-up menu appears.

Select Pause to temporarily stop the current command and change to input ready state. Then, the user can use virtual trackball. A check mark appears in front of Pause command in this state. Select Pause once more to resume the stopped command.

Note  

• A user can examine faces continuously until he / she selects another menu, presses ESC key, or clicks   icon to return to input ready state.
