• Feature >> Interactive Extract >> Edit Surface command allows a user to interactively extend or shrink a surface.

Step

Execute Feature >> Interactive Extract  >> Edit Surface command as follows:

1. Select Feature >> Interactive Extract >> Edit Surface from the menu or click the corresponding icon on the Feature toolbar.

2. Pick a surface to edit it. If the surface is a trimmed one, the following dialog box appears:

3. Click Yes to convert the trimmed surface to a untrimmed one. and Surface edit manipulator will appear like below figure.

4. Extend or shrink the surface using the manipulator. dragging arrow will extend or shorten surface. If with Ctrl key, user can adjust extend/shorten amount finely, If Shift Key, user can adjust roughly

   On RMB menu, User can select surface continuity G1 or G1-G2 condition. 

5. Click Done on the right mouse button shortcut menu.

Result  

• The picked surface is extended or shrunk.
