Feature >> Automatic Extract >> Analytic Feature
Feature >> Automatic Extract >> Analytic Feature command automatically extract analytic features like planes, cones, cylinders and spheres using reference surfaces.
This command get feature information from reference surface and then fine reference geometry in selected shell using feature information of surfaces.
Step
- Execute Feature >> Automatic Extract >> Analytic Feature command as follows:
- 1. Select Feature >> Automatic Extract >> Analytic Feature from the menu or click the corresponding icon on the Feature toolbar.
- 2. Pick a shell. Then the following dialog box appears:
- 3. Input a Tolerance value. Corresponding to the features on the picked shell, check the type of reference geometry you want to generate in the Generate Reference Geometry section. If Planar Region is checked, reference planes can be created; if Cylindrical Region is checked, reference cylinders can be created; if Conic Region is checked, reference cones can be created; if Spherical Region is checked, reference spheres can be created.
- 4. Click Ok to execute this command; the following message box appears.
- 5. Click Ok to dismiss this box.
Result
The generated reference geometries are registered to the Ref. Geometry node in the Project Window Tree.
