Feature >> Create >> Revolve
Feature >> Create >> Revolve command creates a new feature by revolving a profile about an axis.
Step
- Execute Feature >> Create >> Revolve command as follows:
- 1. Select Feature >> Create >> Revolve from the menu.
- 2. On RMB menu, select Pick Base Surfaces if you want to select surfaces as base profile, or Select Base Curves if you want to select general curves as base profile, or Select Sketch Curves if you want to use sketch curves as base profile
- 3. Pick a reference vector as revolve axis.
- 4. Click the right mouse button to pop up the following menu:
- Click Pick Base Solid if you want to pick a solid from existed feature; or click Create New Solid if you want to create a new solid.
- 5. The following dialog box appears:
- A user can control the revolve amount by Direction 1 and Direction 2 options. If a user check Snap to, he can control the revolve direction and amount by drawing arrow on the screen and inputting value. Check Extend Same Amount if you want the revolve amount along every direction are the same.
On RMB menu, there is Up to Ref. Geometry option that can be used to control the revolve amount using Ref. Geometry.

Note
Selected curve must consist closed loop and be placed on same plane. otherwise rapidform will show warning message like as below figure.
