Feature >> Create >> Cut
Feature >> Create >> Cut command make a hole in the existing solid model using selected surfaces or curves.
Step
- Execute Feature >> Create >> Cut command as follows:
- 1. Select Feature >> Create >> Cut from the menu.
- 2. On RMB menu, select Pick Base Surfaces if you want to select surfaces as base profile, or Select Base Curves if you want to select curves as base profile, or Select Sketch Curves if you want to use sketch curves as base profile
- 3. On RMB menu, select Pick Base Solid and pick solid to be cut
- 4.After pick existing solid, rapidform will show dialogue as below
User can control cut amount by Direction 1 & Direction 2 option
If user activate Snap to option, user can control cut direction and amount by drawing arrow on the screen like below figure and cut amount can be control by input value
- Using Extend Same Amount option, every directional amount of cut will be same.
On RMB menu, there is Up to Ref.Geometry option, using this option, user can control cut amount by Ref.Geometry.

Selected curve must consist closed loop and be placed on same plane. otherwise rapidform will show warning message like as below figure.
