Curve >> Tool >> Curve on Sharp Edge
Step
Execute Curve >> Tool >> Curve on Sharp Edge command as follows:
1. Approximately draw a curve on the region considered to be a sharp edge. ( See Curve >> Create )
2. Select Curve >> Tool >> Curve on Sharp Edge from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Curves toolbar.
3. Select the predefined curve to create a new curve exactly along the sharp edge.
4. If a user clicks the right mouse button while executing this command, the following pop-up menu appears.
- Select Pause to temporarily stop the current command and change to input ready state. Then, a user can use virtual trackball. A check mark appears in the front of Pause command in this state. Select Pause once more to resume the stopped command.
- 5. The following dialog box appears.
- A user should assign the Sharpness value for efficient searching. If the sharp edge region where a user wants to find the curve is relatively sharper, it is better to set Sharpness to a higher value.
- Number of control points can be assigned to the to be newly generated curve.
- In the process of searching a curve along the sharp edge, the result curve can be checked by pressing Preview.
- 6. Click OK to finally generate a new curve exactly following the shape of sharp edge.

The shape of resulted curve is totally dependent on the base polygon model.
