Curve >> Create >> Silhouette >> From Surface

• Curve >> Create >> Silhouette >> From Surface command creates the visible silhouette curves or projected silhouette curves of selected surface.

Step   

Execute Curve >> Create >> Silhouette >> From Surface command as follows:

1. Select Curve >> Create >> Silhouette >> Form Surface from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Curve toolbar.

2. Pick a shell and then pick a reference plane to define projection's direction

Following dialogue shell appeared.



Generate Projected Silhouette Curves : extract silhouette curves of visible region from selected reference plane's normal direction 

Generate Visible Silhouette Curves : projects silhouette of shell into selected plane and made curves will be placed in selected reference plane. 

Smooth Curve: if checked, the created silhouette curves will be smoothed. 

3. Select generate option and click OK to make silhouette curves

Note

• Curves from this command are space curves.
• If you want to generate silhouette curves on viewing direction, use reference plane created from Pick point with Viewing Direction.
