• Curve >> Create >> Draw On Screen >> Rectangle command creates rectangular curves on a polygon model.

Step   

Execute Curve >> Create >> Draw On Screen >> Rectangle command as follows:

1. Select Curve >> Create >> Draw On Screen >> Rectangle from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Curve toolbar. All the shells except the active one go into hidden state.

2. Click right mouse button, the following popup menu appears.



Pause, the default option, is used to temporarily stop the current command.( input ready state )

3. Select Draw Rectangle on the popup menu.

4. Pick a starting point and drag the mouse to draw a rectangle while holding down the left mouse button.



5. The end point of rectangle can be modified by dragging mouse or input length of distance by Input Size on RMB menu. Input value in X,Yand click Done to execute command. or Click Cancel to dismiss dialogue



6. After drawing the rectangle,  click right mouse button again, then select Done on the popup menu.

Result

• Blue lines are created on the Shell. The new curves are registered to the Curve node of project tree window and the current layer of layer window. .

• Equidistant Interpolation points between the starting point and the end point are automatically generated.

• An arrow sign is displayed for each curve, which represents the direction of curve. The arrow sign can be hidden or shown with Curve  >> Options >> Show Direction command.

Note  

• Curve >> Create >> Draw On Screen >> Rectangle can be applied only to the active shell.

• When Draw Rectangle is selected on the popup menu, Pause is automatically deselected. Thus, once a user starts drawing the curves, he / she cannot move or rotate the model. Consequently, a model should be properly positioned before the this operation.

• If a user wants to cancel this operation, press ESC key or icon.
