Build >> Register >> 2 Shells >> Pick 3 Ref. Points

• Build  >> Register  >> 2 Shells >> Pick 3 Ref. Points command roughly registers one shell to another one using three pairs of the corresponding reference points which are specified by a user. Generally, the user-selected three pairs of reference points should reside on a measuring device such as tooling ball. This command supports both polygonal and vertex shell.

Step   

Execute Build  >> Register  >> 2 Shells >> 3 Ref. Points command as follows:

1. Select Build  >> Register  >> 2 Shells >> 3 Ref. Points from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Build toolbar.

2. First, select a shell which will be moved, and then select a shell which will be fixed as the registration base. ( See Shell selection )

If same shell is picked two times, the following message appears.

 

3. Select three pairs of corresponding reference points which was generated on a tooling ball in the same order of shell selection at step 2. Each pair of corresponding points is represented in pin like shape in different color. ( See Selecting point )

If you pick reference point on wrong shell, the following message pops up:
