Build >> Triangulate >> Surface >> 3D command converts a full 3D point cloud set to a polygonal model
Build >> Triangulate >> Surface >> 3D command can be applied only to shells without faces.
Step
- Execute Build >> Triangulate >> Surface >> 3D command as follows:
- 1. Select Build >> Triangulate >> Surface >> 3D command from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Build toolbar.
- 2. Select a shell to be triangulated. ( See Shell selection )
- 3. The following dialog box appears.

Criteria Angle specifies the smallest angle between normal vectors of polygon meshes to be generated. Polygon meshes with angle between its normal and adjacent meshes' normal is smaller than the specified value are deleted.
Preview button enables a user to see shaded polygons for a selected region in advance. When this button is pushed, the following message appears.

- Press Yes button if the normal of model looks correct, or press No button if not.
Note
This menu is disabled if there is no faceless shell.
If a shell has too many vertices whose coordinate values are same, the following messages appear.

Click Yes to execute Build >> Filter >> Redundancy command, or click No to continue this command
If a shell still has vertices whose coordinate values are same, the following message appears.
