Build >> Sample Points >> Uniform

• Build >> Sample Points >> Uniform command reduces the number of vertices when there are too many vertices measured.

• Build >> Sample Points >> Uniform command can be applied only to shells without faces.

Step   

Execute Build >> Sample Points >> Uniform  command as follows:

1. Select Build >> Sample Points >> Uniform  from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Build toolbar.

2. Select a shell to be sampled. ( See Shell selection )

3. The following dialog box appears.

Input a ratio of the reduced vertex number to the original vertex number in  Ratio to original field.

If the scanned points are from a Line or Grid type scanner, select Line/Grid in the Sampling type field. Otherwise, select General.

4. Press OK button to complete this command.

Note  

• This menu is disabled if there is no faceless shell.
