Build >> Sample Points >> Curvature

• Build >> Sample Points >> Curvature command reduces points based on curvature.

• Points in a high curvature region are less deleted than those in a low curvature region in order to maintain the accuracy of curvature line, but points in flat regions are much more likely to be deleted because those regions require less detail.

Step   

Execute Build >> Sample Points >> Curvature command as follows:

1. Select Build >> Sample Points >> Curvature from the menu or click the corresponding icon from the Build toolbar.

2. Select a shell to be sampled. ( See Shell selection )

3. The following dialog box appears.

Input a ratio of the reduced vertex number to the original vertex number in  Ratio to original field.

4. Press OK button to complete this command.

Note  

• This menu is disabled if there is no faceless shell.

• Don't use this operation for completely flat surface. All points in this surface may be deleted.
