Use Points > Uniform Sample to reduce the number of points.
Use Tools > Remove Color to remove unnecessary color from the object.
Use Points > Ordered Sample to reduce the number of cells.
When opening large ordered models with File > Open, select “Keep Full Data on Sampling” in the popup and reduce the sampling ratio. This reduces the amount of data that some functions will be required to process (but keeps the full data set in memory in the event the full set is needed).
(In Geomagic Studio only) Use Analysis > Test Intersections and Polygons > Fix Intersections to eliminate intersecting triangles.
Use Polygons > Fill Holes to fill unnecessary holes.
Use Polygons > Decimate to reduce the number of polygons.
Set Tools > Options > Operations > Wrap > Large Data Mode > Save Wrap Result and reload the polygon object.
Reduce the number of patches by various functions on the Patches menu.
Reduce the number of grids in Grids > Construct Grids.
Reduce the number of control points in NURBS > Fit Surface.
Use CAD > Delete Faces to delete unnecessary faces.
