The Management Panel presents tabbed categories of controls and indicators. A tab exists on the Management Panel for each of the following:
Primary Managers
Model Manager
- presents a hierarchical structure of objects that are currently loaded
in application memory.
Primitives
Manager - controls properties of the graphical display that
are specific to various kind of objects.
Display
Manager - controls properties of the Viewing Area.
Textures
Manager - controls the superimposition of psychedelic colors
on the object, primarily for enhanced viewing pleasure.
Dialog
Manager - presents controls and indicators for the functions
that are accessible through icons and dropdown menus.
Batch Processing Manager - (visible after File > Batch Processing is picked)
specifies the input and output locations of files to be processed in batch.
Secondary Managers
To see these managers, click Tools > Panel Options, then click OK; or right-click a toolbar and click Panels > Info Panel > Show.
Model
Information Manager (not the same as the Model Manager) - presents
the same information that typically appears in the lower left corner of
the Viewing Area, such as the number of points in a Points object or the
number of triangles in a Polygon object.
Macro Manager - manages the recording and playback
of macros.
Macro
Server Manager - configures this application to perform actions
in response to commands from remote client.
Bounding
Box Manager - controls the behavior of the Bounding Box (which
can be activated by the Primitives
Manager).
Memory
Manager - controls the behavior of memory-intensive tools
in this application.
Customizing the Management Panel
To make frequently-used managers more accessible, or to move less-used managers out of the way, use Tools > Panels Options to customize the order of managers on the management panel.
