File > Batch Processing loads all the objects in a specified directory and executes a procedure on each. The procedure may include macro execution, report generation, trend analysis, and saving the result. Batch Processing facilitates repetitive work on multiple files.
The controls are:
Input Files section
Directory (browse field) - specifies the directory in which to find the files.
Load Method (Open, Replace, or Import) - specifies the action to be taken on each file in the Directory.
Open - open, treat, and close each file individually.
Replace - if the objects in the batch files need to work with a secondary object. This option will load each batch file without discarding the secondary object from the Model Manager. For example, this option will keep a reference object in the Model Manager but treat a series of test objects.
Import - if each object in the batch needs to be loaded and remain in the Model Manager without being replaced by a subsequent object.
Actions group
