Edit > Selection to Object converts a selected region to a separate object. The selected region on the original object may be discarded or maintained. The result of this operation is two objects listed in the Model Manager.
The parameters are:
Selection radio buttons - specify the fate of the selected region in the original object:
Cut and Paste - eliminates the selected region from the original object.
Copy and Paste - retains the selected region in the original model.
Object Name (text field) - specifies the name of a new object that will appear in the Model Manager.
OK button - cuts or copies the selection to a new object in the Model Manager and terminates the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without creating a new object.
