The Tools Menu provides access to a variety of operations.
Datums - A datum is a geometric point of reference, such as a plane or an axis.
Features - A feature is a reference to a physical construct that has a specific location.
3D Features - is s set of functions for the creation and manipulation of polygons with perfect three-dimensional geometry (in the shape of planes, cones, cylinders, or speheres).
Auto Create Datums/Features - automatically transfers datums and features from the reference object to the test object.
- adjusts the correspondence of points on the Test object to CAD faces on the Reference object, whether by shrinkage or by editing by manual selection.
Registration - permits several scans of the same object to be reconciled.
Alignment - is the reorientation of an object in the three-dimensional coordinate space, primarily to move a test object into the same position as a reference object.
Transform - a set of tools that manipulate transformation matrixes.
Move - adjusts the position of an object in the world coordinate space or with respect to the coordinates of another object.
Section Through Object - creates a cross section of an object (a point, polygon, or CAD object) and stores it in a Section sub-object in a Cross Sections sub-folder in the model manager.
Section Along Curve - creates a series of cross sections along the edge of an object that has a natural boundary (such as a sheet metal part).
Multiple Sections - creates additional parallel renditions of a cross section.
Merge Sections - places two or more parallel cross sections in the same section view.
Auto Report - allows the selection and execution of any report that exists in the sequence tree.
- allows re-execution or modification of the history list of functions that have been performed on a reference object.
Color menu - a set of functions for the manipulation of polygon color
Shape Parameters - presents parameters that affect functions on the Shape menu.
Launch External - starts the external application that is named at Tools > Options > General > Directories > External Application.
Licensing - enables this instance of the application to operate.
Options - allows the Administrator to override factory defaults and set site-specific parameters.
Panel Options - controls the set of managers that appear on the management panel. By default, the panels are the Manager Panel (containing the Model, Textures, Primitives, Display, and Dialog managers) and the Info Panel (containing the Model Info, Macro, Macro Server, and Bounding Box managers).
Macros - A macro is a sequence of actions (menu or icon selections) that is recorded and stored for re-use.
