Tools > Move > To Origin - moves an anchor point on specified model to the origin of the World coordinate system. All model data will be recalculated and repositioned accordingly.
The controls are:
Anchor dropdown - displays X, Y, and Z values of selected anchor point on active model.
Show Bounding Box checkbox - displays boundaries of active model.
OK button - applies changes and closes dialog.
Cancel button - discards changes and closes dialog.
Apply button - previews changes and leaves the dialog open.
To move an anchor point on an object to the origin of the World:
Click Tools > Move > To Origin. A dialog appears. A bounding box also appears with vertices and midpoints marked in yellow. These points are potential anchor points.
Limit how you will choose an anchor point.
To limit the available anchor point to a bounding box vertex or midpoint, check the Show Bounding Box box.
To limit the available anchor points to the model, make sure the Show Bounding Box box is unchecked.
Click on the desired anchor point.
Make manual adjustments to the anchor point using the X, Y, and Z value boxes.
Click Apply to see the results. If you are unsatisfied, return to step 2.
Click OK to accept the results, or click Cancel to exit the command at any time.
