Tools > Color > Manage Texture (applicable to a polygon object with texture color) offers the ability to "detach" the mapped image from the polygon object so that it can be saved to the file system and edited with external software and then reloaded.
If the texture on the active object consists of a single mapped image, the single mapped image appears in the Image Display Panel of the dialog immediately. But if the texture consists of two or more images, the Image Display Panel in the dialog remains blank until you click a portion of the object in the Viewing Area. Then the Image Display Panel shows the one image that is mapped to the clicked point. The purpose of this is that, in the case that the texture consists of more than one image, the user is given the opportunity to click a point and thereby pick an image that will become savable to the file system.
Current Texture group - contains controls and indicators related to the image that is currently mapped to the active object.
Size indicator - indicates the pixel size of the complete image that is mapped to the active object.
Image Display Panel - displays the image that is mapped to the active object, or if more than one image is mapped, displays one of those images.
Load button - loads a .bmp, .jpg, .pbm, .png, .xbm, or .xpm image from the file system.
Save button - stores the image from the Image Display Panel to the file system as .bmp, .jpg, .pbm, .png, .xbm, or .xpm. Typically, the next step is to modify that file with external software and then reload it.
Ctrl-T - a shortcut to automatically reload the last saved image.
Modify Image dropdown - performs immediate changes to the image in the Image Display Panel, and therefore on the active object. Use this when the Geomagic application seems to interpret the image file differently than expected.
Flip Horizontal - flips the image left to right.
Flip Vertical - flips the image top to bottom.
Flip Orientation - flips the image horizontally and vertically.
Rotate 90 Degree CW - rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise.
Rotate 90 Degree CCW - rotates the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
Modify Mapping dropdown - performs immediate changes to the UV Coordinate system on the active object. Use this when the Geomagic application seems to interpret UV coordinates differently from the external software that created them. (The net effect of modifying the image and modifying the mapping is the same, but there may be technical reasons to tweak the interpretation of the UV coordinates rather than the image itself.)
Flip UV Horizontal - Flips the coordinates left to right.
Flip UV Vertical - Flips the coordinates top to bottom.
Flip UV Orientation - Flips the coordinates both left to right and top to bottom.
OK button - saves the current state of the image and the mapping of the image on the object and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without any saving changes to the image or the mapping of the image on the object.
