Tools > Move > Exact Position - moves an object a specified distance or to any absolute location in the World coordinate system.

The controls are:

To move an object to an exact position of the world coordinate system:

  1. Click Tools > Move > Exact Position.

  2. Choose a movement type for translation:

   Choose Absolute if you want to enter specific coordinates to reposition the model to.

   Choose Relative if you want to enter changes in position, thereby specifying extent of movement.

3.   Choose a coordinate system:

   If you chose Absolute in step 2, choose World.

   Choose World if you want to rotate the model with respect to the World axes.

   Choose Object if you want to rotate the model with respect to model axes.

  1. Enter the amount of translation in the Translation X, Y, and Z value boxes.

  2. Click Move. All data will be recalculated; all points will have new World coordinates.

  3. Enter the amount of rotation in degrees in the Rotation [about] X Axis, Y Axis, and Z Axis value boxes.

  4. Click Rotate.

  5. Repeat steps as many times as you want with various choices. All data will be recalculated; all points except the center of rotation will have new World coordinates.

  6. When you are finished, click OK, or click Cancel at any time to exit the operation.
