A spectrum is a color-coded representation of the differences between two or more objects.
To modify the default spectrum that appears with several Geomagic functions, or to customize a spectrum and assign a name to it for later use, go to Analysis > Edit Spectrum.
Unnamed dropdown - allows the selection of a named set of spectrum parameters. Named sets can be created at Analysis > Edit Spectrum.
Color Segments integer field - specifies the number of segments that the displayed data will be divided into.

Min. Negative decimal field -
Max. Negative decimal field -
Decimal Places integer field (1 to 5) - specifies the precision of the gradations represented by each color.
Edit Spectrum checkbox - whether to display additional controls for the modification of this color-coded spectrum.
To modify the appearance of a spectrum (without permanently modifying the spectrum definition):
Choose a particular spectrum from the drop-down menu on any dialog that allows it.
Choose the number of subdivisions in the Color Segments box.
Choose your maximums and minimums depending on your tolerance preferences.
Right-click on the color box and check either a Vertical or Horizontal display.
Right-click on the color box and check or uncheck Display Border.
Right-click on the color box and check or uncheck Transparent Background.
Right-click on the color box and select either Energy for a deviation spectrum or select Go/No Go for a two-color deviation result.
Right-click on the color box and check or uncheck Distribution Plot to show a histogram of the deviation occurrences.
