Polygons > Sandpaper reconstructs a polygon mesh to have smoother surfaces or gentler curves.
Sand the object in the Viewing Area by left-dragging the mouse over it.
The controls are:
Operation group - specifies a mode of operation for the mouse while it is being dragged over a polygon object:
Relax radio button - the sandpaper relaxes existing triangles in the affected area, but never reduces the number.
Clean radio button - the sandpaper removes existing triangles and contructs a cleaner, flatter polygon mesh in the affected area.
Strength slider (Min to Max) - is analogous to the pressure applied to sandpaper on a wooden surface.
Fix Boundary checkbox - specifies that the coordinates of boundaries may not change during the sanding.
Free Form checkbox (applicable when Operation is Clean) - creates a new mesh and removes fine details in the process.
OK button - replaces the original object in the Model Manager with the sanded object.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving a sanded object.
Reset button - reverts the polygon object to its non-sanded condition.
