Polygons > Engrave Surface creates raised or sunken characters on a polygon mesh. This function uses American keyboard characters only.
To generate a preview of an engraving, click a point on the object that represents the lower left corner of a box that bounds the engraving site. The Size, Offset, Label, Font, and lower left corner of the engraving site can be changed during a preview.
Size field - specifies the height of characters.
Offset field - specifies the thickness of characters; the amount of raising or sinking.
Label text field - specifes the text.
Font dropdown - specifies the font family.
Clear button (available when a preview of the Label is visible on the polygon object in the Viewing Area) - erases the preview.
Execute button - converts the preview to an engraving.
OK button - saves all engraving (executed engravings and previews, if any) to the object in the Model Manager and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving any engravings.
Reset button - restores the object to its original condition; removes all executed engravings and previews.
