Points > Random Sample (applicable to unordered data only) reduces the density of points randomly. This may be the least-used sampling function.
This operation modifies the selected object permanently. The operation affects selected region(s) of the object, or the whole object if no region is selected.
The controls are:
Percentage field - specifies the percentage of original points that will remain in the object. 100 maintains all points, while values approaching 0 maintain fewer points.
OK button - merges the point objects and saves Merged to the Model Manager.
Cancel button - closes the dialog without merging.
