Points > Offset moves the points of one or more unordered point objects by a user-specified distance in their normal directions. This function supports certain sheet-metal-related workflows.
Offset field (default 0) - specifies the distance by which points are moved from their original positions.
Flip button - specifies that points should be moved in direction that is opposite to their normal directions.
Delete Outliers checkbox - specifies whether to delete outliers during the offset process. An outlier is a point whose normal direction is unknown and which has no neighbors whose normal is known.
OK button - saves modified point object(s) to the Model Manager and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - closes the dialog without saving modified point object(s).
Apply button - applies the Offset and Flip settings to the unordered point object(s).
To move all points of one or more unordered point objects:
Select one or more unordered point objects in the Model Manager.
Select Points > Offset Points.
Change the Offset distance.
If points must be moved in the direction that is opposite their normal directions, check the Flip checkbox.
Press the Apply button. The result is a movement from the original position. Multiple changes are not cumulative.
Press OK to save the modified point object(s).
