Points > MicroScribe > Define Alignment allows you to record three alignment points to use as reference points so the object can be repositioned easily during the digitizing process. A change in position is likely if:
Regions on the object cannot be reached from the original position
More detail is needed in a particular region
To use the Define Alignment operation:
Click Points > Define Alignment in the menu bar. The Define Alignment dialog box opens in the Dialog tab.
Choose an alignment point on the object with the stylus and record it by pressing the left foot pedal.
Click the Define Next Point button.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until all three alignment points are recorded.
Click OK to accept the alignment points, or click Cancel to exit without making changes.
