Points > MicroScribe > Align Model. In some cases you need to move your object so that the stylus can access previously unreachable parts of the object, such as the back or the bottom of the object. After moving the object to a new position, you can realign the collected data using the three markers defined in Defining Alignment Points with the MicroScribe Digitizer in the Align Model function.

  1. Check the Alignment Points box on the Primitives Manager to see the markers labelled 1 through 3.

  2. Click Points > Align Model.

  3. Use the digitizer stylus to collect the three markers in the same sequence as indicated by their labels.

  4. If the result of the digitizing session is saved as a Wrap (WRP) file, the markers are stored along with the data points. Model alignment is therefore possible at any time when the data is revisited by opening the WRP file.
