Patches > Resample Patches increases or decreases the default of 10 vertices per side of every patch, which in turn changes the default grid density of Grids > Construct Grids. The effect is to change the “resolution” of the eventual grid so that surface variations can be more accurately represented.
Excessive vertices on uneven surfaces can promote the construction of defective grids.
If the object has many surface variations, and it was impractical to arrange panels and patches to capture every such variation, increase the number of vertices so that the grid lines will be closer together and therefore can adhere to and represent the surface more accurately.
Vertices integer field (default 10) - specifies the number of vertices per side of every patch in every panel on the object.
OK button - saves the resampled patches to the object and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving any changes.
Apply button - generates a preview of the vertices and leaves the dialog open for additional modification.
