Geomagic products use a three-button pointing device. The mouse actions and mouse action modifiers appear in the following table. (To configure a UNIX-like behavior of the mouse, or to change any mouse action modifier to your preference, use Tools > Options > General > Themes.)

Left Mouse Button (also called mouse button 1)

LeftMouse

single click selects most items on the user interface and elements of the active object.

Click and drag has the following effects:

•   selects regions of the active object,

•   In a numeric field, vertical dragging increases and decreases the value.

Lighting.

Shift-LeftMouse

Set active model (when working with multiple models)

Middle Mouse But­ton (also called mouse button 2 and “the wheel”)

Scroll Wheel

•   Zoom. To zoom in (or out) on any portion of the object in the Viewing Area, put the mouse cursor on the point of interest and use the scroll wheel.

•   In a numeric field, the scroll wheel increases or decreases the value of the digit to the right of the cursor

MiddleMouse

•   During “Move Camera Mode” (the normal case): rotates the user’s view.

•   During “Move Model Mode”: rotates the object in coordinate space.
