Grids > Construct Grids puts an N x N grid in every patch on the Shape object.
Resolution (8 to 100; default 20 or the most recently used value) - specifies the number of grid lines per patch. All patches in the model will have this resolution. With a given resolution, therefore, a denser grid is achieved by having a smaller patch, and more sparse grid is achieved by a larger patch. With a given grid resolution, use larger patches where overall grid density is less important, and smaller patches where greater overall grid density is required for precise surfacing.
Repair Intersections checkbox (default Checked) - reduces the incidence of defective grids. Do not un-check. Even when checked, imperfect grids can be generated. The typical next step, therefore, is to use Analysis > Check Geometry to identify inperfect grids. Then, if necessary, use Grids > Relax Grids, Grids > Edit Grids, or Grids > Remove > Grids and start over.
Check Geometry (The state of this checkbox is shared with the Check Path Intersections checkbox in Contours > Detect Contours, Patches > Construct Patches, Grids > Construct Grids, Contours > Subdivide/Extend, and Patches > Shuffle > Panels) - specifies whether to advise the user, upon completion of this function, whether certain imperfections should be fixed by using Grids > Relax Grids).
OK button - saves the grids to the polygon object.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without constructing grids.
Apply button - generates a preview and leaves the dialog open.
