Edit > Select Through (or Ctrl-G) causes the Selection Tools to affect polygons and CAD faces whose front sides are toward the viewer, even if those front sides are obscured by visible polygons or faces. See Select Visible Only.
If Edit > Backfaces Mode is also in effect, Select Through causes selection tools to affect front and back sides that are toward to viewer.
