A Curves Object contains one or more lines that trace the surface of a three-dimensional object. In Geomagic Studio, the line is a cross section of the three-dimensional object (created by Polygons > Cross Section) or and arbitrary path across the surface (created by Curves > Create Curve Object).
A Curves Object appears in the Model Manager as a distinct object, not as a sub-object of another.
The Curve Menu contains functions that manipulate existing Curves Objects, and appears in the menu bar only when a Curves Object is active in the Model Manager. The tools are:
Edit Curves - modifies an existing Curves Object
by increasing the tension about control points.
Merge Curve Objects - merges two or more Curves
Objects into a single Curves Object.
Copy Curve to Object - superimposes the Curves Object that is active in the Model Manager onto any Point or Polygon Object, resulting in non-object curves on the object.
Create Points - creates a new Points object of user-specified density from the selected Curves Object.
Delete Curves - deletes selected segment(s)
of a Curves Object (not the whole Curves object).
