Resample Curves

Curves > Resample Curves changes the number of vertices in a selected curve line.

After you select a curve, the current number of vertices appears in the dialog box. This amount can be reduced or increased, depending upon your need for detail.

• Vertices integer field - specifies the number of vertices that will be evenly spaced on the curve line that is selected in the Viewing Area.

• Clear button - removes the value from the Vertices field.

• OK button - saves the resampled curve lines to the object and closes the dialog.

• Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving resampled curve lines.

• Apply button - adjusts the selected curve line to contain the given num­ber of evenly spaced vertices.

To change the number of vertices in a curve line:

1. Verify that all curve lines on the object have been projected onto the sur­face by means of Curves > Resample Curves.

2. In the Viewing Area, click the curve line you want to resample. The cur­rent number of vertices appears in the Vertices text box.

3. Enter a value in the Vertices text box.

4. Click Clear to clear the amount in the Vertices text box.

5. Click Apply to apply the resampling.

6. Click OK to accept the resampling.
