Contours > Relax Contours (selectable when contour lines exist after Contours > Detect Contours or when patches exist after Contours > Subdivide / Extend Contours or Patches > Construct Patches) relaxes an individual yellow or orange contour line by pulling it toward areas of higher curvature.
Parameter group
Iterations integer field (default 10) - the number of relaxation passes to be performed by the algorithm for each press of the Execute button.
Execute button - performs the relaxation Iterations times.
OK button - saves the relaxed contours to the object in the Model Manager.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving relaxed contours.
Clear button - clears the selection of an orange line in the Viewing Area.
To relax an orange or yellow contour line:
Click Contours > Relax Contours. A dialog opens.
Select any yellow (extendable) or orange (unextendable) contour line in the Viewing Area. If you select a contour line in error, press the Clear button to de-select it.
Enter a number of Iterations. The white line indicates the relaxed position of the selected yellow or orange line.
Click Execute.
If necessary, repeat by returning to Step 2.
Press OK to accept the relaxation, or press Cancel to exit the function without saving changes.
