Contours > Fit Contours decreases the number of control points and adjusts the tension on any orange or yellow contour line, or orange panel-demarcation line, to change its curvature.
The tension represents a trade-off between accuracy and smoothness. The higher the value, the smoother the line is. However, some accuracy to the original data may be sacrificed. With a lower value, the object remains more true to the original form, but there is less smoothing.
Parameter group
Control Points integer field - specifies a number of control points that are evenly spaced on the length of the orange panel-demarcation.
Tension decimal field - represents a trade-off between accuracy and smoothness. The higher the value, the smoother the line is. However, some accuracy to the original data may be sacrificed. With a lower value, the object remains more true to the original form, but there is less smoothing.
Execute button - applies the given Tension to the number of Control Points.
OK button - saves the object with the modified orange panel-demarcation line.
Cancel button - terminates the function without saving changes.
Clear button - clears the selection of an orange line in the Viewing Area
