CAD > Boolean Operations (selectable when two or more CAD objects are selected in the Model Manager) generates Boolean combinations (union, subtract, and intersect) of closed CAD objects. Use this function to bypass launching an external CAD application for model touch-up.
To perform Boolean operations:
Highlight two aligned CAD objects in the Model Manager.
Select CAD > Boolean Operations.
Assign a Name to the object that will be created.
Click Apply to operate on the two objects.
Choose the result you wish to view: Object 1 only, Object 2 only, Union of 1 and 2, Intersection of 1 and 2, Subtract 1 from 2, or Subtract 2 from 1.
Click OK to save a new object named Name, or Cancel to terminate the dialog without saving a new object.
