Boundaries > Straighten identifies two points on an existing boundary lines and moves triangle vertices between those points to create a straight boundary.
This function is useful for smoothing rough edges caused by insufficient point data or extraneous points. Because the operation adjusts the polygon structure to accommodate the straightened path, it can often help fill rough model edges.
Define group - specifies that a portion of a boundary will be straightened.
First Point radio button - the next click of the mouse will be on one endpoint of the portion to be straightened.
Second Point radio button - the next click of the mouse will be on the other endpoint of the portion to be straightened.
Included Boundary radio button - the next click of the mouse will be on any part of the portion to be straightened. A white preview line indicates the proposed straightening.
Execute button - converts the preview to a straightened boundary.
OK button - saves the modified object to the Model Manager and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving the object.
Clear button - removes the preview line that is based on FIrst Point, Second Point, and Included Boundary.
