Boundaries > Create > From Polyline creates a free-form closed shape based on the user’s placement of control points, and converts the shape to a boundary.
Each click of the mouse defines the nearest polygon vertex (or “corner”) to be a point on the boundary, and extends the boundary from the previous point to the new point by tracing the shortest path along the edges of existing polygons.
Use Boundary checkbox - no function.
Remove Last Vertex button - removes the most recently defined point from the boundary.
Remove Last Boundary button - removes all points of the boundary that is being defined.
Next Boundary button - declares existing points to be a complete boundary, such that the next point to be defined will be considered to be part of a different boundary.
Mode group - controls the mode of operation of the mouse in the Viewing Area:
Select radio button - each click of the mouse creates a point on a boundary.
Clear radio button - each click of the mouse removes the nearest point that is already defined.
OK button - saves all new boundaries to the object in the Model Manager and terminates the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving newly created boundaries to the object in the Model Manager.
