Boundaries > Edit smoothes jagged edges on a boundary by reconstructing the polygon mesh.
Use Ctrl-Z to un-do the most recent action.
The controls are:
First Unnamed group - specifies whether the whole boundary or a portion of the boundary that you select in the Viewing Area will be subject to smoothing.
Entire Boundary radio button - The entire boundary that you select in the Viewing Area will be subject to smoothing.
Partial Boundary radio button - A portion of the boundary that you select in the Viewing Area will be subject to smoothing.
Define group - Use these radio buttons to specify the exact portion of the boundary that will be subject to smoothing.
First Point radio button - The next point you click in the Viewing Area will be one end of a portion of a boundary.
Second Point radio button - The next point you click in the Viewing Area will be the other end of a portion of a boundary.
Included Boundary radio button - The next point you click in the Viewing Area will be the portion of the boundary between endpoints.
Pick Points radio button - enables an alternate method of defining a partial boundary. Click this radio button, then click a points on the portion of a boundary to be smoothed.
Snap to Boundary Edge checkbox (when Pick Points is pressed) -
Second Unnamed group - contains editing parameters.
Control Points integer field - Reducing the number of control points generates a smoother boundary. Reduce this value and press Enter to see a preview of the new boundary.
Tension decimal field (in the range 0.0 to 1.0) - specifies a degree of elasticity to be applied to the proposed boundary line, as if it were a rubber band. Zero tension creates a boundary with no elasticity, like a string. Adjust this value and press Enter to see a preview of the new boundary.
Execute button - removes the preview boundary and modifies the polygon mesh according to the Control Points and Tension parameters.
OK button - saves the modified object to the Model Manager and closes the dialog.
Cancel button - terminates the dialog without saving the object.
Reset button - removes the preview line or the selection of points in the Viewing Area.
