Manual Mesh Editing - Create Element(s)

NOTE:  You can create multiple elements without closing the dialog by selecting the pin icon in the top right hand corner.

To create an element right click on Mesh and select Create Element form the Edit menu to open the dialog.

To create an element you must first select an element edge on a boundary followed by a node.  The selected node must be either a free node or a boundary node.  After you have selected the element edge and a node, the element to be created will be shown and the OK button will become active.  Click OK to create the element.  Press the Cancel button at any time to close the dialog without creating an element.

You can only select one element edge and one node at a time or one of the following error messages will be received:

NOTE:  You can only create triangular elements.

NOTE:  Turn Shading off by pressing the shading icon to be able to see the individual element outlines.
