Import Mesh 

This command allows you to import a NASTRAN mesh file. Active only when geometry has not been linked to the project file and when you have activated the meshing workbench first, by selecting Workbench > Meshing after opening a new project.

Select the Import Geometry icon from the Workbench Toolbar and the dialog box shown below will open.  Select a NASTRAN file and press Open.

If there are any defects and/or problems with the imported mesh, FormingSuite will prompt you asking if you would like to heal the mesh using the mesh repair function.

NOTE:  Imported meshes will not show inside/outside forming results.  Surface data is required for curvature calculation.  For best results, start analyses from geometry.
